Colts-Saints Preview – Do The Saints Even Have A Shot?

It’s Monday morning and Super Bowl odds are finally posted. The two best teams from each conference are facing off in the Super Bowl but the general chatter around the water cooler is how can the New Orleans Saints really compete after playing the way they did last night?

The Saints did outlast the Minnesota Vikings but their effort was pathetic.

Overall, they forced five turnovers (three fumbles and two interceptions) and really should have had two others. So the Saints, the so-called best team left standing in the NFC, wins the turnover battle in a big way but still needs a miracle too many men in the huddle penalty, overtime and a fourth-and-one conversion just to outlast the Vikings.

How’s that going to fly against the Indianapolis Colts – the best team in the NFL?

The Colts just shredded what was considered one of the best defense around and they still have yet to lose a single game this year when they actually try and play their starters.

Two weeks to prepare is going to help the Saints more than the Colts but the reality is that the Colts are just the better team. It will be a close contest but you have to pick the Colts to win this one. Experience is on their side.

US Sportsbook odds (US Sportsbook Review): Colts -4.5
