If you’re looking for Super Bowl odds that will give you some good value, look no further than Minnesota, led by an explosive offense and a run-stuffing defense.
The Vikings regained some of their swagger in the final week of the season by blowing out the New York Giants, and they had the No.5 offense during the regular season. Brett Favre may have had the best season of his Hall of Fame career, and Sidney Rice became one of the elite receivers in the league. However, Adrian Peterson hasn’t had a 100-yard rushing game since Week 10, and has fumbled a bit.
The defense is second in the league against the run and sixth overall, and they also led the NFL in sacks. Their front four is fearsome, powered by Jared Allen as a rush end and the Williams brothers on the interior, but they had some injuries in the secondary. A week off should help that, though.
The Vikings, with their balance on both sides of the ball, is a team that no one wants to face in the playoffs. At home, they’re 8-0 this season, so they’re pretty much a lock if they can stay at the Metrodome. With Favre’s playoff experience in their back pocket, take the Vikings.
Bookmaker odds (bookmaker reviews): Vikings 6/1
